Based in Devon I focus on candid portraiture that blends human presence with the materiality of paint and its surface.

Each portrait is a journey into a person’s character and story. Using experience, curiosity and intuition, I aim to create paintings that feel grounded, honest and genuinely connected to the person I’m painting.

I’m interested not only in likeness, but in the physical qualities of the painting itself — the marks, texture and character of paint and surface.

Portrait commissions are created from photographs, with size, composition and surface discussed individually.
